Design, build and commission a prototype plant that converts PFA, Sewage Sludge and Clay into a lightweight aggregate.

The project was undertaken on a partnering basis with Fairport supplying the structural steelwork, belt presses, mixing equipment, dryers, pelletising equipment, aggregate coolers, hoppers and silos, as well as the electrical installation and control systems.
