Hanson Cement : Padeswood, Ribblesdale & Ketton Works

The design and build of three Ferrous Sulphate Plants at Castle’s Padeswood, Ribblesdale and Ketton works. The process involved the reception, storage and addition of ferrous sulphate to the clinker to reduce the levels of Chromium IV in the finished cement material.

All three plants were completed in eighteen weeks in order to meet the environmental regulations introduced in 2005.
